2018 Vignobles Bardet Château Franc Le Maine Saint-Emilion Sans Soufre 0.75 Ltr. Rouge
picture of

Deep ruby red colour. Lots of black fruit on the nose, fine herbs and a hint of chocolate. Deliciously juicy and balanced mouthfeel. Pure fruit on the palate accompanied by a soft spiciness and refined tannin. Already delicious but also with a promising future.

Red grilled or roasted meat, slow-cooked leg of lamb with gratin, boeuf Bourguignon and savoury cheeses.

climate

Maritime climate with mild, wet winters. (Sometimes with heavy rainfall) Summers are very warm with many hours of sunshine which ensures optimum ripening of the vines.

soil

Mainly sandy soil with a little clay. Grass and weeds are allowed to grow freely between the grapevines. Optimal protection of the natural ecosystem.

vinification

Gentle maceration thanks to a new generation of barrels that allow easy immersion of the marc in order to obtain refined tannins. With the collaboration of microbiologist Christophe Gerland and after long research, a wine was produced without added sulphites.
